Introduction: This excursion brings you about 60 km west of Hua Hin near the Burmese border. Pala U Waterfall can be visited any time of the year but will be the biggest during and just after the rainy season from July to November.
After picking you up at your hotel at 9 am, we head towards Thailand’s largest national park, Kaeng Krachang, where the beautiful Pala U Waterfall is located. The 16 level waterfall is one of Thailand’s largest and is located in a rainforest, which is over 1000 years old and has outstanding wildlife.
On the way we make a stop at one of the many pineapple plantations in the area.
You cannot get up to the waterfall without walking the last part. The route is quite manageable and takes you to the bottom of the 16 levels.
Unfortunately it is not possible getting all the way to the top level, but it is possible to get up to the third, where you can swim in the waterfall, enjoy the impressive rainforest, feed the fish or if you are lucky, get a glimpse of the many butterflies, that Pala U is known for.
The Karen village is close to the waterfall. The people of the village are originally Burmese and the lifestyle is immersed in old traditions and their own language. As refugees, they live in very poor and primitive conditions compared to most Thai people.
Lunch will be served at a local Thai restaurant in the park before heading back to Hua Hin.
